Sunday 26th June 2022 saw our second coloured belt (Kyu) Karate grading of 2022 in the London region.

The grading led by Chief Instructor and Chairman, Sensei Eric Pich was very well attended. A great turn out of new students grading and all examiners were generally very pleased with the high standards and spirit shown by students.

Thank you to all SKCE examiners who assessed the candidates. Examiners in attendance were Sensei’s Eric Pich, Sue Sinclair, Phil Wright, Nehal Shah, Janita Tan, Barry Cox and Rona Hackman.

The grading could not have been successful without the Willoughby Family and Sensei Adrian Lurie who always tirelessly help at every grading.

Thank you also to our upcoming future junior black belt Instructors Li-Sen Tan, Belle Bautista and Inaaya Khan who assisted on the day.

A special mention to all SKCE Instructors for their great effort to help rebuild SKCE after the turbulent times we have all been through and working with students during the lock-down to ensure their Karate training was still available.

Congratulations to all the students who passed their respective grades and those who did not make it this time were individually advised on elements they needed to work on to improve their karate ready for retaking once they reach the expected standard.

The next London regional Kyu grading is on 9 October 2022 and all SKCE Instructors look forward to working with their students to prepare them for their next grading!
