Referees and Judges Course-15 September 2024

Sunday 15 September 2024 saw our first SKCE Referees and Judges Course of 2024 led by Chief Instructor and Chairman, Sensei Eric Pich at Willesden Sports Centre.

Participants were current SKCE Qualified Referees and Judges and those aspiring to become Referees and Judges. Every participant was provided with Referee and Judges books and a whistle.

The course began with Sensei Eric explaining the rules for judging, followed by practice for both Senior Referee and Corner judges.

Referees were given random flag signals at speed and then they had to explain what decisions they were able to award and then received feedback from Sensei Eric.

New candidates were given a practical test to be able to demonstrate that they understood all the flag signals.

Feedback received was that the course was very approachable and helped increase confidence of course attendees, of which many will be assisting the upcoming SKCE National Championships at Willesden Sports Centre on 20 October 2024.

Thank you for all attending!
